The Fuel Temperature Sensor monitors the heat of the fuel within the system. Since fuel density changes with temperature, the engine control unit uses this data to calculate the precise amount of fuel needed for efficient combustion. A faulty sensor can lead to incorrect air-fuel mixtures, causing poor fuel economy, increased emissions, and potential difficulties during cold starts.
The ECU uses this data to adjust fuel injection. Genuine sensors prevent engine hesitation or stumbling during warm starts.
